Nesbitt Art Co. is an on the rise creative agency that integrates fine art, photography, and strategic branding into a cohesive platform for artists and entrepreneurs, founded by entrepreneur Deandrea Nesbitt. As a freelance visual artist, Deandrea’s personal work explores the tactile depths of abstraction and texture-based artistry. Utilizing impasto techniques and mixed media, she creates evocative, multi-dimensional pieces; such as her noted Hidden Figure painting, which challenges the viewer to look beyond the broad surface. Her work often balances raw, visceral energy with technical precision, reflecting her multidisciplinary background in both traditional fine arts and commercial based production.
Deandrea’s career was forged in the high intensity atmosphere of New York City’s beauty industry. Once graduating cosmetology school in 2014, she quickly got state licensed and was determined to succeed as a Black creative. As a hair and makeup artist working within the Flatiron District, her close proximity to fashion did not only allow her to view the city hype surrounding New York Fashion Week, but work the shows as well. In the high stakes world of the runway, she quickly navigated the chaos of backstage by crafting looks featured on model boards and face charts. This fast paced experience provided her with a firsthand masterclass in the transformative power of visual identity and the precision required for world class professional imagery.
In 2015, following the birth of her son Theo Jax, Deandrea made an intentional transition from the electric pace of New York City to her maternal roots of Alabama. During this time she made the decision to go back to school, attending Troy University. Deandrea’s trajectory shifted through the influential mentorship of her Graphics instructor. What began as an exploration of art for personal fulfillment soon evolved into a strategic professional pivot. Encouraged to align her academic focus with her extensive background in the beauty industry, she transitioned her major to ART Photography. This academic change would serve as a decision that would redefine her career.
Focusing more into photography allowed her to master the technical pillars of visual storytelling, precision studio lighting, digital camera mechanics and advanced post production editing. These weren't just academic exercises, but the tools she used to revolutionize her own digital presence. By applying high end editorial techniques to her personal social media (@Adri.Vonshae), Deandrea began curating sophisticated beauty campaigns that caught the eyes of industry PR. This fusion of technical skill and industry intuition led to her being contracted as a global hair model for major international brands: Nadula Hair, Dream Hair and UNice Wigs. She has also had the opportunity to campaign with beauty brands: Milani Cosmetics, Buxom Cosmetics, Black Radiance, MODA and more. Today, she continues to leverage this multidisciplinary expertise to create social media campaigns for a diverse portfolio of premier beauty, fashion, and wellness brands.
Beyond her technical artistry, Deandrea possesses a sophisticated understanding of Industry PR. Her experience as both an ambassador and content creator has given her a unique vantage point on how beauty and wellness brands build authority and trust in a saturated market. It's not just about the visual, but crafting brand narratives designed to resonate with editors, influencers, and modern consumers alike. This passion for intentional storytelling naturally evolved into a dedication to mentorship, where she now translates these industry grade communication strategies into the classroom.
As a Certified K-12 Visual Arts and active Humanities Teacher, Deandrea expertly bridges the gap between creativity and effective communication. She seamlessly pairs her love for art and business with the contextual depth of humanities, encouraging students to explore the narrative behind their visual expressions and articulate their artistic intent with clarity and power. Her impact as an art mentor is evidenced by the consistent success of her former Alabama students, who have secured top honors in state and county art competitions. Under her guidance, several youth artists have achieved national recognition, with their work selected for publication, including the Celebrating Art Anthology in partnership with Blick Art Materials. She empowers the next generation to not only develop their unique voice, but also to protect and present their work with professional integrity and compelling storytelling.
